Tucked away in the center of the Houma Airbase, the Paisley Fart Ditch became a haven for the local skaters of the small Louisiana town. It was the closest thing to the enticing skate spots of magazines and videos to be had in the area. The best looking part of the ditch, the "deep end" --with its hip-flat-hip transition-- would never dry out, much to the skaters' chagrin. Many a runaway board bathed in those foul waters. Still, the skaters made due, and added to the terrain whenever possible. Old timers would come out to soul carve, and the younger skaters would try to rip every which way they could. Busts were low and times were good.
