In the mid-Eighties, if you lived in Houma or the neighboring south Louisiana towns, the idea of riding a concrete skatepark was nothing but a pipe dream. That is until a single line in an old skate magazine whispered of the defunct 70s Pink Panther Skatepark in Slidell, LA. That one line of text set a buzz in the back of the brains of Pigmy's skaters--could it still exist? It wouldn't be until the summer of 1989 that Sean and Ev would go on a quest, and discover this hidden treasure behind an innocuous looking camp ground. Chainlink and barbwire were no match for need to ride and one hell of a session ensued. The Panther has since been dozed under; as far as we know these are the only pictures of the park on the web.
